Game Update (2024-07-27)


Hello. I've made some updates to Cityscapers, a simple city management game. The update is now live on web and desktop builds. Thank you for players who played the game. Suggestions and feedback are always welcome in the comment section of the game. I hope to continuously develop Cityscapers based on the community's feedback.

General update to Cityscapers (2024-07-27) :

  1. Removed income collection by clicking on commercial buildings. Now, commercial buildings will generate income and disperse them at the end of each terms.
  2. Added additional information to the info window when hovering on tiles. 
    1. Residential buildings will now show the current occupancy on the information window when hovered
    2. Commercial buildings will now show their current income on the information window when hovered :
    3. More information are planned to be added on the information window as the game updates
  3. Added 2 new service buildings, a radio station and a television station:
    1. The radio station provides a small commercial income boost in a mediumrange (5x5 city blocks) . Costs 4000 credits to build and 1500 credits to maintain every term: 
    2. The television station provides a large commercial income boost in a large range (9 x 9 city blocks): Costs 16000 credits to build and 3500 credits to maintain every term:
  4. Reworked the post office service building
    1. (WAS) Automatically collects income from nearby commercial building
    2. (NOW) Provides a slight commercial income boost in a small range (3x3 city blocks)
  5. Reworked build window's information for commercial buildings. 
    1. (PREVIOUS) Shows commercial rate (speed for creating revenue) & base income
    2. (NOW) shows commercial range (range where commercial building will check for residential buildings) & max income generated
  6. Reworked "Economic Boom" and "Recession" card: 
    1. (WAS) Economic boom: Doubles commercial rate but doubles city expense
    2. (NOW) Economic boom: Doubles income generated by commercial buildings (cannot go past the maximum income) but doubles city expense
    3. (WAS) Recession: Halves commercial rate but halves city expense
    4. (NOW) Recession: Halves income generated by commercial buildings but halves city expense
  7. "Economic boom" and "Recession" cards will now cancel each other. Only one of the cards can be active at a given time.
  8. Added a cap limit for city upgrade 
    1. (WAS) Unlimited upgrade
    2. (NOW) City will be max leveled at 10 (400 tiles). After city level has reached level 10, the city can no longer be upgraded:

Known Issues  :

  1. When playing the web build on mobile devices, building buttons can't be pressed.
  2. Buildings or effects that modify city "Attraction" stat will not work
